Tigres make contact with Man Utd defender Varane

Ambitious Tigres UANL are chasing departing Manchester United defender Raphael Varane.

Varane has announced he will leave United this summer after three seasons at Old Trafford.

Azteca Deportes reports LigaMx club Tigres is targeting Varane.

Tigres have already made contact with the centre-back. However, it is unclear how Varane feels about a move to Mexico.

Tigres are currently in third place in the Mexican league - and they want to strengthen the team further ahead of the second-half of the season.

Also with Tigres are former France teammate Andr-Pierre Gignac and the former Real Betis attacker Diego Lainez.
